Ensuring that your website and network systems are consistently up and running is critical to building your business.
From systems monitoring, HTTP, SMTP, router, switches, DNS monitoring, Vergen Inc. has the right solution to fit your business needs. Vergen Inc. has successfully implemented third party customizable open source software that helps its clients ensure 24 x 7 availability of services to their employees and business. The software allows clients to view service availability from its easy to navigate web interface, as well as receive alerts at the first sign of trouble via email, thereby protecting your services and minimizing service downtime. |
 |
In addition to monitoring system availability, Vergen Inc. also provides its clients with tools to monitor their network bandwidth usage as well as router/switch configuration changes. Vergen Inc.'s network bandwidth monitoring service helps you check each router's interface to see how much incoming and outgoing traffic is currently being utilized on that interface and in the event of a problem with network bandwidth it helps you diagnose which interface was the using the most bandwidth and at what time. The customizable application allows users, from its web interface, to display bandwidth usage over the last 24 hours, week, month or year as well as the ability to download the raw bandwidth data based on the type of graph selected. The router/switch configuration monitor helps our clients track configuration changes to any router and switch storing them in a repository, as well as informing you via email of the changes. This tool helps in determining what changes were made to a device and when these changes were made to the device, thus reducing the amount of time it takes to troubleshoot and resolve any issue with a device. |
Vergen Inc. has several different tools that were created in-house to help our clients map IP or MAC addresses to switch ports, ping IP address, perform a traceroute and DNS or WHOIS queries, as well as view log files in real time. The IP or MAC address to switch port tool allows users to enter an IP or MAC address, select the appropriate router and it will display the Switch name, port number and corresponding MAC address. The DNS and WHOIS query tools can be used to determine the registrant or owner of a domain name, check where this domain is hosted (i.e. server name and IP address), the MX records for email delivery and other information pertaining to any domain. |

In a ceremony in Miami this morning, the final five blocks of IPv4 addresses were given out to the five Regional Internet Registries that further distribute IP addresses to the far corners of the planet. The five RIRs still have tens of millions of addresses as working inventory, but once those addresses are given out, it's over. |
